1. Introduction

SolSnazycat respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us. This Privacy Policy explains how SolSnazycat (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains personal information when you visit wholesale.solsnazycat.ca, apply for or use a wholesale account, place an order, contact us, or otherwise interact with our wholesale store.

SolSnazycat operates from British Columbia, Canada. Our handling of personal information is subject to applicable privacy legislation, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). The federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may also apply to personal information involved in interprovincial or international commercial activities.

Payments may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe, PayPal, or WooPayments where enabled. Full payment-card numbers are generally collected and processed directly by the applicable payment provider rather than stored by SolSnazycat. We may receive limited details such as payment status, transaction identifier, payment method, card brand, last four digits, and fraud or risk information.

Information collected automatically

When you use the website, technical information may be collected automatically, including IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, referral information, access date and time, cookie information, and security or fraud-prevention data.

3. How we use information

We may use personal and business information to:

  • Evaluate and administer wholesale eligibility and account access
  • Verify business and tax information supplied during registration
  • Process payments, orders, shipping, returns, refunds, and replacements
  • Communicate about an application, account, purchase, or support request
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and security threats
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the wholesale website
  • Maintain accounting, transaction, business, and tax records
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Send marketing communications where consent has been provided or they are otherwise permitted by law

4. Consent

Where consent is required, we seek consent appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information and its intended use. Consent may sometimes be implied by your actions, such as providing delivery information so an order can be shipped. You may withdraw consent where permitted by law, although doing so may prevent us from providing an account or service.

5. How we share information

We may disclose information to service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the wholesale store or provide a requested service. These may include payment processors; product suppliers and fulfilment providers; shipping carriers; website hosting, ecommerce, security, anti-spam, backup, and email providers; analytics or website-management services; and professional accounting or legal advisers.

Some products may be fulfilled by third-party suppliers. The recipient’s name, shipping address, telephone number where required, and ordered products may be provided to a supplier or carrier to fulfil and deliver the order.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful authority requests, protect rights or safety, or prevent and investigate fraud or security incidents. We do not sell or rent customer personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain cart, checkout, login, and account functions; remember sessions and preferences; protect the website; measure performance; and support analytics or marketing features where enabled. Non-essential technologies are used according to applicable consent choices. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the website from working.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. These may include HTTPS/TLS encryption, access controls, authentication measures, established payment processors, security and anti-fraud tools, software updates, and restricted access to customer information. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Processing outside Canada

Some service providers, payment processors, suppliers, fulfilment providers, carriers, or technical systems may operate outside Canada. Information may therefore be transferred to, stored in, or processed in another country and may be subject to that country’s laws. SolSnazycat remains responsible for personal information under our control, including information handled on our behalf by service providers.

9. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. Application and account information may be retained while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward. Order, transaction, and tax records may be retained to meet fulfilment, support, accounting, and legal obligations. Security and correspondence records may be retained for reasonable operational and investigative periods.

Canadian tax and business records generally must be retained for six years from the end of the last tax year to which they relate, although longer periods can apply. When information is no longer reasonably required and there is no legal reason to retain it, we will securely delete, destroy, or de-identify it where appropriate.

10. Access and correction

Subject to applicable legal exceptions, you may request access to personal information about you under our control or ask us to correct an error or omission. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

11. Marketing communications

Promotional electronic messages will be sent in accordance with applicable Canadian law. You may unsubscribe using the mechanism in the message or by contacting us. Transactional messages about an application, account, payment, order, shipment, return, or support matter are not marketing messages and may still be sent where necessary.
